What Yoga & Organizing Have in Common

I had a tough time my first day back to hot yoga. My body was less flexible and I was no longer acclimated to exercising in 104 degrees. But what really threw me off was the mental clutter - I was judging myself, regretting my delay in resuming my practice, and worrying that I would not be able to get through the class.

And it dawned on me that this is how some people feel about getting organized. Overwhelm, shame, and/or lack of clarity about how to proceed can be debilitating.

WOW. I had never made that connection before. I love organizing so much and have been doing it for so long that getting “out of practice” is not something I face. But many of my clients do.

So I take that off their shoulders. I create an action plan to meet their goals and I walk them through the steps at the pace that is right for them. We breathe, we smile, we make great progress. They do not need to be an expert; that is what they hired me for.  And in yoga, I do not need to be able to do each posture perfectly. I just need to listen to the teacher, take it one step at a time, stay with my breath, and trust the process.

When you are ready to transform your home or office, which, like yoga, will then transform your life, we can help you. Or, unlike yoga, we can simply do it all for you. Schedule your complimentary consultation today.
