I recently had the pleasure of spending an evening with fellow professional organizers from all over the country. It was a wonderful time, filled with laughter and joy, and it reminded me why I love what I do. Initially, I thought the highlight of this conference would be the professional development and collaborations—both of which I deeply enjoy. But as the evening unfolded, I realized that there was something even more rewarding: the simple, genuine fun we had together.
This experience made me think of my clients, who work so hard to get organized and make decisions that can sometimes feel overwhelming. The process of organizing a home isn’t just about sorting through belongings; it’s about making choices that bring clarity and peace and once those decisions are made, and the space is organized, my clients often find that life becomes so much easier. Suddenly, finding clothes, making appointments, and keeping the car in order are no longer stressful tasks—they’re part of a smooth, efficient routine.
What really hit home for me during that evening was a deep sense of gratitude. I’m so thankful that I get to do this work, not just because I love organizing, but because I get to help people reclaim their time and their joy. Organizing isn’t just about tidying up; it’s about creating space for the things that truly matter. When your home is in order, you have more time and energy to spend on what makes you happy. And that’s the ultimate goal, isn’t it? To be able to enjoy life to the fullest, knowing that your surroundings are supporting you, not holding you back.
