Taking time to reflect upon the past several months is an important step in getting organized for the new year. Before rushing to make resolutions, I recommend spending some quality time considering what went well for you and your family, and what did not. Without shame, blame, or guilt, simply review the year.

Think of yourself as an objective observer who is looking for ways to understand you and your goals. You may want to journal, draw, or share with a trusted friend. If your family is able to have this conversation together, it can be a great first step towards group goals as well as support for individual resolutions.
